What Deskworth is for

Deskworth is a desktop application that turns the model subscriptions you already pay for into a research desk with named mandates. It is local-first, it holds no key of yours, and it does not resell you a model.

#The three commitments

• Every conclusion keeps its trail. A figure without a source and a retrieval date does not ship.
• Adopt is not execute. There is no write path to a broker, and the feed trait exposes no write method — verifiable by compilation rather than by policy.
• The server never sees your work. It carries accounts, licences and updates. Cut it off and the application still runs.

#Why named roles rather than one assistant

Not because a specialist model is smarter, but because a mandate is a written limit and a limit is what makes a wrong answer visible. A role that may read filings and may not reach the open web cannot substitute a blog post for a 10-K. A role that owns the workbook format is the only one that can produce one.
